All your articles can be compiled in your own time, from the comfort of your own home, which makes this the ideal online work at home opportunity for mums, part time workers, and aspiring writers. Your opinion matters, and our readers want to know what you think, and if you know your stuff, you could establish yourself as an authority on online shopping. The focus of the articles you write will generally be your own choice -- you can choose to cover a broad range of online shopping topics, or specialise in a specific area or product category -- but we may sometimes provide story ideas and suggestions for you. You could for example write about any current online shopping news or topic that interests you at the time, or maybe choose something more specific as a theme for all your articles, like smartphones and mobile apps, baby, maternity and nursery products, or fashion for example -- ultimately, if it is relevant to online shopping, you can write about it, and we will publish it. We are also interested in reviews of online stores and services you have experienced, and reviews of products that are available to purchase online. You can also write about online shopping tips and resources for Australian shoppers. Please note that we are only interested in unique articles, that have not and will not be published elsewhere, and our focus is on quality, not quantity. We may edit your articles (grammar, adding links, etc) or require you to make changes before publishing.
Your First AssignmentThe first step towards becoming a regular paid freelance writer for Online Shopping Australia, is to get between 2 and 4 articles -- a minimum of 2,000 words in total -- approved and published on our site. Your first assignment is a really a test of your writing abilities, and all work you submit will have to be approved by us before publishing. We may not require previous experience, but we will only approve well written articles that have been carefully constructed. A quick look at our home page will give you a good idea of the sort of articles we are looking for -- an engaging title and interesting introduction is always a good start, especially because that is the first thing our readers will see on the home page. If you are having trouble getting started we are always happy to provide some suggestions for you. Your name will appear on each article you write of course, and as soon you have completed this first assignment successfully, we will link all your work to an author profile page.
Author Profile PageAfter you have had your first batch of articles published, we will give you an author profile page, which will include a link back to your own website or social profile page. As an approved writer for Online Shopping Australia you can submit articles of any length, but to retain your author profile page, we do have a minimum requirement of 1 good article per month.
Show Me The MoneyOnce we have published 4,000 of your original words, we can offer you $50 for every 1,000 words published there after. Your first payment will include the 4,000 words already published ($200.00) As one of our paid freelance writers we ask for a commitment from you to submit new articles frequently -- ideally at least 1 article per week. We understand that the initial rate per 1,000 words is a small compensation for all your hard work, but we are happy to renegotiate payment rates over time, dependent upon the quality and popularity of your articles. Our budget for freelance writers is not limitless, so you will need to keep us informed of the quantity of articles / words you plan to write, otherwise we cannot guarantee payment for every article you submit. As a freelance writer (contractor), you will need an Australian Business Number (ABN) to receive payments from Online Shopping Australia. And as a contractor, you will have the right to sub-contract the work you do for us. To receive payment you will need to provide your Australian bank details, and submit an invoice with your ABN. Payment frequencies are flexible, and if you want to be paid frequently, you can invoice us for every 1,000 words you write.
Future Employment For dedicated writers there may be a possibility of full time work at Online Shopping Australia.
