• Australian iPad Pricing and Availability Confirmed

Apple has finally confirmed pricing and availability of the iPad in Australia, but it's not going to be as affordable as I'd originally hoped it would be.

• iTunes Movies Available to Rent in HD on iPad

I watch HD movies rented from the iTunes Store on my Apple TV, and I just noticed that Apple has changed the HD message to include the iPad now.

• Pushing Daisies and iTunes Requests

If you buy movies, music, books, and TV shows online through the iTunes store, you may not be aware that you can submit an iTunes request for items that you can't find.

• Blockbuster Movie Avatar Now on DVD and Blu-Ray

If you haven't seen the "highest grossing movie to date" at the cinemas, don't worry. Retailers around Australia have started to stock the movie on DVD and Blu-ray.

• 30,000 Free e-Books and Cheaper Prices on iPad

I know it could be a while before we see the iBookstore for iPad in Australia, but I'm still very excited to hear that there could be 30,000 free e-books, and cheaper prices similar to Amazon.com.

• This Week in Online Shopping -- Gap in Australia, Shopping Online in Facebook, Affordable Sanyo Video Cameras, iPad Demand, & More

Gap is opening in Australia, and hopefully an online store will follow. You could be shopping online in Facebook soon. Sanyo launch an affordable dual video camera range. Everyone is expecting high demand for the new Apple iPad. The New Dell Inspiron 15 laptop is thinner and lighter. New Xbox 360 Easter bundle with free games.

• Still No iBookstore for iPad in Australia

It looks like Apple's iBookstore is going to be chockablock with e-books when it goes live in the US on April 3. I've still got my fingers crossed that Apple will also launch the iBookstore in Australia, when the iPad is available to buy online here in late April, but I'm not holding my breath!

• Gifting Apps in the iTunes App Store

I wanted to gift the iPhone app 'Plants vs. Zombies' to a friend last week, but I couldn't, because there was no option to gift apps in the App Store. Thankfully that's all changed now, with the new 'Gift This App' option, and I'm expecting a gift giving app frenzy!

• 10 Billion Songs Downloaded From The iTunes Store

Apple love their milestones, and today marks another huge milestone for Apple, as the 10 billionth song has just been downloaded in iTunes.

• 99c Movie Download of the Week -- Rent Manhattan, Starring Woody Allen, Diane Keaton and Meryl Streep

I haven't blogged about the 99c iTunes movie of the week for quite some time actually, mostly because the movies on offer weren't so good, but a classic Woody Allen movie could not be ignored!
