About Us

Online Shopping Australia is a blog about discount shopping online for bargains, created by myself, Luke Cliff, and James Murphy. It all started in October 2007 when we began blogging about a broad range of online stores and the products they sell. We wanted to create a website that made it easy and convenient to find great bargains, deals and discounts online.

In June 2008 we decided to narrow our focus to a small group of online discount department stores in Australia - stores that we regularly shop at ourselves. Discount department stores are our favourite type of online store, because they have a broad product range and heaps of great bargains. We choose the stores, products and promotions we blog about at Online Shopping Australia, and make a small percentage commission on each confirmed sale using affiliate marketing.

We try to add as much value as we can to each shopping update we create by selecting and grouping products, and adding extra information that we feel would be useful to our readers.

Online Shopping International Pty Ltd is the name of the company I formed prior to launching our first site - it might sound like a big business name, but right now it's just James and myself wearing lots of different hats! I am the director of the company, but on a day to day basis my focus is on programming, development and content. James spends most of his time creating shopping updates, and he also looks after the publishing and marketing side of the business.

James and I both live and work in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland - the aim is to have a perfect work/life balance of course, but in reality we both still spend far too much time sitting at a computer!
