Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead – New Documentary Shows Healthy Living from a Breville Juicer

Small appliance manufacturer Breville has been riding a new wave of shoppers wanting a healthy life after watching a film about loosing weight with just fresh fruit and vegetable juice.

Breville Riding a New Wave of Shoppers Wanting a Healthy Life

I was reading a report from Current.com.au about how Breville have been cashing in on a sudden rise in interest of their juicers and blenders because of a new documentary just released. The documentary follows Joe Cross’ journey from obesity and sickness, all the way to a healthy lifestyle thanks only to a 60 day diet of fresh, squeezed fruit and vegetable juice. Notably with a Breville juicer.

From the film launch Monday night, Joe Cross said the choice of a Breville appliance was made by chance, selected off the shelf from a local Crate & Barrel store in New York. But seeing an opportunity Breville has been in discussions with Joe Cross all year about bigger marketing ideas.

The documentary DVD is set to go on sale in the fruit and vegetable section of Woolworths stores nationwide soon, and as a result of the film, Breville has launched a new campaign promoting healthy juicing. At the time of writing this article however, all I could find was a product page at Breville.

Of course you don’t need to buy a Breville branded juicer, the one you have will do fine. But if you don’t have a juicer like me, you can checkout the Breville juicers featured in the film below. I haven’t purchased the DVD either, but I intend to.

I do have hesitations about how healthy it is to only consume blended juices. Eating only juice will sure get you thin, but I’m sure the movie won’t claim to have you just lie back and watch the kilos melt away. Unfortunately I’m sure that you’ll still need to get up and exercise ;)

It is possible to buy the DVD direct from the Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead web site and I’ve provided a link to Joe Cross’ online store below. Personally, I think I’ll wait for the DVD to arrive at the Woolworths health and fresh vegetables section. Links to the juicers featured in the documentary are also listed below.
