Dyson Launches Australian Online Store

With absolutely no fanfare whatsoever, Dyson has quietly launched its full online retail presence in Australia, with the complete range of Dyson vacuum cleaners, fans, and heaters, available to buy online.

Dyson has been selling spare parts and accessories online since September 2010, but now the full the range of Dyson products are available to buy direct, from the new Dyson online shop.

According to Erica Galea, the PR / Communications Manager for Dyson, the finished store went live earlier this month, and it marks the completion of the second phase of the Dyson online retail experience.

Products available to purchase direct from Dyson, include the new Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner range, and Dyson Hot fan heaters.

The new Dyson online shop looks great, and customers will definitely appreciate the free shipping on all vacuum cleaners, fans, parts and accessories — not forgetting the free 2 year guarantee either of course.

I was a bit confused with the menu navigation to begin with, but after browsing around a bit, I realised that the shop has been tightly integrated with main Dyson website, so you’ll often land on a product info page, displaying a bright yellow button that takes you to the store product listing, where you can add items to your basket and checkout.

There’s a huge amount of Dyson product information available to help online shoppers make the right purchasing decision, including range comparison pages, details about the technology, and videos.

You won’t find any discounts in the Dyson online store, as all items appear to be selling at full retail price, but then plenty of other major brands like Apple do that, and it doesn’t appear to hurt their sales.
