David Jones & Bonds Go Online Just in Time for Christmas

The wave of online stores continues to hit Australian stores this year. Bonds and David Jones are just some of the stores trying to keep two steps ahead from the rest, but are they worth it for you, the savvy online shopper?

David Jones has recently joined the online rush with its revamped website – www.davidjones.com.au just in time for Christmas. There are plenty of deals on their website with free delivery and gift wrap. However, you must use your David Jones American Express or store card in order to receive this special. There are a range of applications to use ranging from the perfect gift finder to the Christmas hub.

David Jones Joins in on the Online Christmas Rush

The perfect gift finder allows you to choose a person’s age, interests, if they are a boy / girl / mother / father / friend and the price range you would like. I was able to find a great gift for my friend in just a few clicks. The perfect gift finder can be found on the homepage.

The Christmas hub is also a great idea on this website. Cooking tips are given from great chefs such as Simon Johnson, Maggie Beer and Pete Evans. There are also articles on the three best themes to use for decorating a table or home for Christmas. I find the Elegant Blue and white to be one of my favourite designs.

Top 10 gifts for her, Top 10 tips for a stereo free Christmas and How to create a perfect picnic are just some of the how-to guides posted on the site. Although this does not involve online shopping exactly, it adds a nice touch to the website.

For those with children, there is plenty to do to get the kids involved. There’s a page with the times and dates Santa will be in store to take photos and the kids can even send an email to him. If that’s not enough, include your email and he will send a return. Gone are the days for writing Christmas letters, I think.

For the days that follow Christmas, there is still plenty of shopping that can be done on David Jones’ website. Wedding Gift Registry is often a popular choice for a couple getting married so you don’t end up with five toasters. It is now possible to search and create a gift list online.

In regards to delivery and payment, DJ’s is pretty reasonable. The items you purchase will be dispatched within one business day of receiving the payment. The Christmas cut off dates to ensure a present is delivered on time is quite acceptable with the last cut off date being the 19th December in some areas.

Overall, David Jones does have plenty to offer the online shopping world, but once Christmas is over, it will be interesting to see how much substance the website will have.

Bonds Online Launch Clothing Store

Now many of you might have been hoping and wishing for a while and Bonds underwear has finally delivered.

There are the 12 deals of Christmas with underwear specials ranging from babies to women and men. Although socks and jocks may be a standard gift, Bonds are just too cute to not buy!

In relation to refunds, Bonds has a 30-day change of mind policy and a 90 day policy if the goods are faulty. The products cannot be returned to a retail store, but can be sent reply paid back to Bonds so there is no cost to you!

Their products include underwear, t-shirts, singlets, socks, bras, hoods, leggings, dresses, shorts, trackies and maternity wear.

Be quick to snap up these great online launch deals as online shopping will not be considered a new thing for much longer.
