You could save a lot of money on your Christmas gift shopping this year, if you head on over to the Amazon UK online store. Free delivery to Australia is still available when you spend £25 on books, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and CDs.
This promotion might be old news to you by now — as it’s been running since February — but it’s still a great offer for Australian Shoppers, especially if you usually shop at Amazon.com.
The Free Super Saver Delivery offer has been extended before, so it could happen again, but for now it officially ends on 31 October 2011.
To take advantage of free shipping to Australia, all you have to do is add eligible items to your shopping basket to the value of £25 or more. Eligible items include books (hardcover, paperback, audio), music (CD, SACD, vinyl), DVDs, and Blu-ray discs, that are sold directly by Amazon.co.uk — purchases from third party sellers are not eligible. All eligible items are clearly marked, so it’s easy to spot them as you browse the store.
Unfortunately just like Amazon.com, MP3 downloads are not available to Australians yet, but most of the CDs are so cheap, that you could just buy them with free shipping instead, and rip them to MP3 yourself.
If you already have a login for Amazon.com you can use the same username and password to login to Amazon.co.uk, and all your Amazon.com account details will be instantly accessible, so all you have to do is add items to your basket and checkout.
If you’re planning to send gifts to relatives overseas, this offer also applies to New Zealand, South Africa, and India. You can ship to multiple addresses using this offer, as long as each shipment is £25 or more.
When you’re ready to checkout make sure you select ‘Super Saver Delivery’ as your shipping option, and ‘Group my items into as few deliveries as possible’ as your delivery preference.

Fantastic news, the free shipping offer for Australian customers has been extended until January 15, 2012!
Before I discovered this free shipping offer, I always thought that the US store was the best Amazon store for Australian shoppers, but now I’m not so sure. What about you, have you shopped at Amazon.co.uk before?
