End of Financial Year Not Just for Business
It's that time of year again, when retailers across Australia need to move as much stock as possible before the end of the financial year. But for shoppers, I think it's the best time of year to get real bargains on all sorts of products, not just business products.
If you haven't been watching TV, reading the paper or never looked at a retail store recently you wouldn't have noticed all the end of financial year sales going on at the moment. Online retail stores are certainly no exception either, with many creating sales for the special event.
Although it is typically a busy time to buy business equipment, it's not necessarily a cheaper time to buy business products. Buying stuff for your business now is only good if you have a surplus budget. Savvy retailers know this, and it's generally not a good time to drop prices on business products by too much, particularly when your business customers are already in the mood to spend money.
From my experience with shopping online, I would suggest you try do your gift shopping now, maybe some Christmas presents, or catch up on the list of things you want for your home. Look for a retailer that is advertising more than just business or tax deductible products in the sale. These are the retailers that want to move stock before the end of this month.
