Buy an iPad Online

Apple retail shops expect to be inundated with fanatic iPad shoppers, as the iPad is officially released to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom today.

The release of the iPad to the "rest" of the world hasn't been as smooth as many of us wanted, with a delay of the initial release in April due to the overwhelming demand in the US. It caused a lot of pain to many people who were desperate to buy the device. Some couldn't wait and bought an expensive trip to the US just to buy the iPad, while others fought it out with fellow eBay buyers, as eBay power sellers cashed in with prices as much as US$10,000

So after having a very successful launch in the USA, Apple are now ready to continue the iPad success on a global scale.

I think without doubt we'll see another shortage of iPads, and possibly a slower iTunes store as thousands, and thousands more new iPad shoppers fill up their shiny device with iPad apps, books, iTunes HD movies and.. then even more iPad apps.

For those that have pre-ordered the iPad online, you will have avoided the long queues and should receive the Apple iPad at sometime very soon. If you haven't placed a pre-order, you can risk the retail queue or place an order online and wait in the comfort of your own home.

I'll be buying my iPad online. I believe we will see quite a large number of retail shops sold out, and this thought is compounded when I think about the pre-orders being filled. Shopping online at the Apple Store seems a much better choice for me, and for those of us that don't really need to be the first to buy one.
