Dyson Vacuum Cleaners and the Stowaway DC20

The story of James Dyson is one of a true Aussie battler; except he's a pom of course. Anyway, for 15 years he toiled away and after 5,127 prototypes invented the G-Force Dual Cyclone vacuum cleaner. His invention was a revolution but of course none of the big companies could see that; they were mostly worried about losing the bag replacement market. Finally after 2 years searching for an investor it was the Japanese that finally recognised the brilliance of his design. Using the money from the Japanese G-Force licence James started his own company launching the Dyson DC01 in 1993.

During the development years the patent costs nearly bankrupted James and he risked everything to keep going. Not surprisingly other companies like Hoover tried to imitate his design and he was forced to go to court to protect his patent many times.

Dyson Stowaway - DC20 Turbine Vacuum Cleaner

Today Dyson is a household name and their vacuum cleaners are sold in over 44 countries worldwide.

I bought my first Dyson vacuum cleaner about 10 years ago and have never looked back since. Sure, you'll find cheaper imitations out there but if you're looking for a high quality long lasting vacuum cleaner that won't lose suction then a Dyson is going to give you the best value for money.

The Dyson Stowaway vacuum cleaners are the ultimate in compact design; both the hose and wand compress and wrap for easier storage.
